Occupational Safety and Health Consultants Register (OSHCR)

OSHCR is the UK’s largest online register of chartered health and safety consultants from every industry. Members of the register are qualified to advise businesses on health and safety issues across many specialisms.

If you are a health and safety consultant, OSHCR makes you discoverable online. It offers a platform for you to promote your portfolio to new clients and generate work. And if you are a business searching for an accredited consultant, OSHCR will connect you.

OSHCR is governed by the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) – the world’s largest membership body for safety and health professionals.

All consultants listed on the register meet strict training, competence and professional practice criteria. This means that when hiring an OSHCR professional, businesses can be confident they are receiving high quality health and safety advice.

Search for a consultant by location, industry, professional body or topic in order to find tailored advice, relevant to specific business or project needs.

History

OSHCR was established in 2012 by a network of professional bodies to raise and maintain standards in the occupational safety and health profession, and make it easier for businesses and qualified practitioners to connect. OSHCR provides the answer to the Government’s Common Sense, Common Safety 2010 report, which recommended that:

  • All health and safety consultants be accredited to a professional body.
  • A web-based directory of accredited health and safety consultants be created.
