Private Sector Achievements ➢ Lead officer on RoSPA safety award for a Housing Group. Gold medal (six consecutive gold awards) from first submission. ➢ Introduced and developed a risk based, Group wide, proactive, Health & Safety inspection programme, covering manufacturing, retail, warehousing, distribution, and trade businesses ➢ Introduced an accident database together with reporting procedures to assess and minimise company exposure. ➢ Developed Health & Safety ‘Lead’ Authority Partnerships with Local Councils. ➢ Developed strong links with Local and Central Health & Safety Enforcement agencies. ➢ Developed and carried out Health & Safety training within Group companies. ➢ Developed and expanded the Quality Accreditations. ➢ Produced Environmental Policies to support and retain National Account customers. ➢ Introduced, co-ordinated, proactive, and reactive Group wide Audit programmes to identify and reduce risk. ➢ Introduced proactive, risk-based stock taking programmes. ➢ Developed an extensive external support network of contacts as a result of investigations particularly Police Authorities, Special Branch and Financial Institutions. ➢ Carried out internal investigations from Branch to Board level including the presentation of reports. ➢ Minimised exposure of the Group when subjected to relevant legal and statutory action.
