I provide a general health and safety consultancy service, delivering advisory, training, auditing, supplier vetting and monitoring services. I am a registered centre and trainer for  the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) courses and deliver all 3 levels of their Health and Safety courses,  I also deliver IOSH and NEBOSH courses for a training provider, develop tailor-made courses that address specific client needs and am also a NEBOSH examiner. I have been a school governor for 24 years, Chair of Governors for the last four years and just over a year ago led the governors during a successful OFSTED visit. For all of this time I have been actively involved on a regular basis in the day to day health and safety of the school as well as giving advice locally to other Headteachers. I have considerable experience of managing health and safety on Government funded training programmes, including assessment of premises used for work experience and work-related learning. In recent years I have also provided health and safety advice to a retirement village and covered all aspects of life within the village from estates and property services to varying level of residential care and sheltered housing and a university.Pre pandemic I conducted many inspections of supported living properties for people with learning or physical disabilities and housing provided for the homeless and it is an area I am starting to work in again post pandemic. I am now providing advice to a local authority regarding its day centres, educational trusts who have been formed to support children with special educational needs, various charities (including one that concentrates on providing play opportunities for disabled children and young people), a cosmetics company at its warehousing sites, an opticians' practice with 11 outlets, a media company at their warehousing site and a manufacturing company bringing inovative products to the automobile industry. This is my 29th year as a self-employed Health and Safety Consultant and I thoroughly enjoy my work!
