Dr Rogers is a highly experienced, professional and well-respected occupational hygienist and HSE specialist, with over 39 years industrial experience and 36 years occupational health & safety, environmental and occupational hygiene-related experience.. He has worked in a wide range of industry sectors (including oil & gas, chemical, power, transportation, nuclear, manufacturing, heavy engineering, metal processing, international banking, biosciences, pharmaceutical, and disaster recovery) and in over 40 countries.
Dave founded Woodglade Consultants Ltd with the aim of putting the "H" back into "H&S". He is passionate about re-addressing the balance and making occupational health and safety of equal importance. Dave provides his clients with professional and solutions-oriented services in occupational hygiene, occupational health and safety, environment and strategic management consulting.
Throughout his career, he has been a strong advocate for a holistic approach to health and safety and wellness in workplaces. This holistic approach is key to his professional experience as an occupational hygienist. He has demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion strategies in organisational and project teams that he has managed. He has been passionate about health and safety throughout his career, and has communicated this passion and enthusiasm to different work groups, from the shop floor through to the board room, in large and small organisations.
His experience includes working in senior roles on high-profile projects under significant public scrutiny. Examples include: HSE Manager for the construction of a large coal-fired power station in South Africa; Project Manager for environmental, health and safety studies prior to the redevelopment of the oil and gas fields in Azerbaijan; and Lead Investigator for a fatality investigation in the Philippines.
