Responsible for provision of all aspects of Quality, Occupational Health Safety & Welfare & Environmental management advice, including company management system development to achieve & Maintain ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 standards for a national multi-site construction, renewable energy generation plant and domestic energy efficiency improvement measure installer.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director & providing QHSE advice to all levels of staff, from directors & site managers to front line supervisors & installation operatives.

The role includes national staff & contractor induction and health and safety training delivery management across all sites and warehouse and offices; oversite of risk assessment & review; production of method statements, safe systems of work and construction phase plans. I am the liaison with external stakeholders, accreditation agencies, insurers & regulatory authorities.

Directly responsible for facilitating consultation and communication of QHSE policies and procedures; as well as the development of a positive safety culture and safety orientated behaviour throughout the organisation through strong leadership.

Other duties include proactive and reactive performance measurement and analysis, scheduling & conducting internal QHSE audits, action planning & management system performance reporting. I am also the lead on workplace & construction site inspection, accident and near miss incident investigation, non-conformance identification & action planning. 

Responsibilities included contractor induction, permit to work system management, contractor RAMS and PQQ assessment and site safety inspection.  I was also responsible for hard landscape safety inspection, fire and emergency escape route inspection and remedial works management. Other duties included Liaison with school H & S officers and the organisation and delivery of necessary training for staff; the provision of Health, Safety and welfare advice to college staff at all levels, accident and near miss incident recording, investigation and workplace safety inspection, report collation and review, including the provision of time limited, prioritised action plans.    

The role included construction site workplace inspection, scaffold and work at height access method suitability & compliance inspection, work equipment and PUWER inspection, advice and health and safety tool box talk training delivery, safe system of work training as well as staff and contractor consultation.
