My current role with NFU Mutual is varied and gives me the opportunity to work across a wide range of industries. Farmers are regular clients and having a good look round while undertaking audits can turn up anything from eagle owls to vintage fire engines. You just never know what will be around the next corner! 
But farmers are not my only clients. I support businesses in: engineering, waste management, food processing, horticulture and arboriculture. Using my previous learnt skills with the HSE I also support business who have had accidents / incidents and work with them to help reduce the likelihood of the events re-occurring. 
I also currently deliver a number of training courses including first aid, IOSH Managing and Working Safely, manual handling, risk management etc. All are good fun with the emphasis on fun. I also manage a team of first aid trainers, covering the whole of the UK. 
I am a Chartered member of IOSH and a full member of the IIRSM.

I worked within the Field Operations Directorate and so covered a range of industries including waste and recycling, food processing, engineering, woodworking.  My roles included management auditing, inspecting workplaces, carrying out accident investigations and following up on complaints.  The role was varied and very rewarding and it is fair to say that I learnt alot while working for the HSE.
