Richard thrives in high-pressure sports, live music, film, TV, production, and entertainment. An advocate of Occupational Health, Safety, and Sustainability as a first career choice. A Chartered member of IOSH, Fellow of IIRSM and Professional Member of ASSP.  He has spent over 30 years in the events and entertainment space, working on multiple Olympic and Commonwealth Games and two Bollywood movies. More recently, he worked with the World Rally Championship, Formula E, E-Bike World Cup and AppleTV+. 

With a focus on driving excellence in safety, he brings a wealth of global knowledge and experience to enhance organisational safety practices to achieve operational excellence. He is committed to delivering results and providing effective leadership to support organisations in achieving their goals through a grassroots, sustainability-driven approach to safety, diversity, equity, and eliminating harm. 

While working with Formula E and E-Bike Grand Prix, Richard defaulted into event sustainability. Over the last two years, he has enhanced his knowledge of sustainability by undertaking postgraduate professional education courses at Cambridge University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. 

Richard is a Consulting Director at Intuition Strategic Consulting – a small consultancy based in Chester with a diverse but influential portfolio of clients. 

As a volunteer, Richard is the Vice President of IOSH, a Council member of NOEA and a passionate trainer and mentor.
