Dr Bishop Simon has served as the Health and Safety Manager and Biological Safety Officer at the Medical Research Council. This role was critical in order for Research Group Heads to achieve world class science. She is currently a Health and Safety manager and Biological Safety Officer at Cancer Research UK, where she is responsible for health and safety management for their 5 laboratories located in the South East. Additionally, she is an examiner for the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health – which grants professional qualifications in health, safety and environmental management across the UK and overseas. The Bishop Simon consultancy established in 2018, provides health, safety and biosafety service to the scientific industry.
